I loved today. I had a really emotionally draining day and was very upset, but as soon as I got to the rink I forgot about everything apart from the ice and my blades. And that's why I love skating. :) I managed to land all doubles up to 2loop and including axel-2toe on my first try which was really great.
Axels, 2toes, 2sals, 2loop, axel-2toe, camels, flying camel, classic spiral, beillmanns, kerrigan/catch knee, charlotte attempts.

The flip jump, also known as the toe salchow is an advanced ice skating move that involves doing a left outside three turn, picking your free leg into the ice and jumping, landing on one leg. This video takes you through a flip jump step-by-step with tips from me.

They are TOTALLY AWESOME! Even cooler in person than on the internet XD and they are both fantastic! Marie and Laura both landed loads of axels and Laura landed this perfect 2sal (when my dad wasn't filming...). I was still injured but was a little better than last week.
After we went to Starbucks and talked about skating :D

I'm really sorry that these aren't getting done as fast as some people might hope. I'm at school all week, skating on Friday nights, netball training Saturday morning, skating on Sunday morning, and cramming in homework the rest of the time. Also, I can only do these when my mother is out/not listening because she doesn't particularly like me having headshots of myself on the internet. I AM working on them, though, and I'm hoping to get 1 or 2 done each weekend. This weekend it will only be one, because it is my BIRTHDAY tomorrow. :D So yeah, please don't message me every day, asking me when it's going to be up, it won't make me any faster. :P Just keep checking the request list.

For everyone who has requested help videos, I will try to get them done in the summer when I can get on empty ice.

I'm almost better off ice, almost. On ice I'm still struggling quite a bit with knee bend, which means I struggle quite a bit with pretty much everything, but I'm getting there slowly.
In here are trampoline double axels/triples, and some pre/kind of post injury spirals. My flexibility certainly isn't the same as it was before, but it's much better than a few weeks ago, when I couldn't even get a 90 degree spiral.
I'm skating Friday, but I won't be able to video.

As per many requests, I fianlly got an axel help video up. I tried to put as many tips in there as possible, with step by step instructions. YES, I am holding a piece of paper, because I can't remember everything for long and I didn't want to miss something :) And I apologize for the tractors you can hear, I live opposite a farm so..yeah.
The axel is an advanced figure skating move that involves taking off from a left forwards outside edge, rotating 1.5 turns and landing on a right back outside edge.
A little like Expert Village (ExpertVillage), but with more detail.
WARNING: I am not responsible for anyone who decides to go out there and try an axel after watching this video and gets hurt. The axel is a HARD jump that should only be attempted if your coach thinks your ready.
So no blaming me :)
