The SCA wasn't the only reenactment group at King's Champion Medieval Faire 2008. The fighting group MELEE also showed up, with their boffer re-creations of actual combat swords. The "Iron Claw," for example, was one of the more exotic bits of weaponry used during MELEE battles! This video clip is actually made up of three different actions, including "Battle of the Zombie Masters" and "Kill the King!" Unlike most competitive swordfighting (SCA and LARP, for example), the Knights Hospitallers use real swords, NOT padded or training weapons -- and they DO thrust at each other, with force!
