This is for you guys! This song is not on my list of favorites by any means...but you all have been requesting it, so here ya go. Consider this to be a "progress" video.
I'm pretty sure I played the entire song note for note. I just wish Harmonix had ironed out the tempo problems during the recording. A perfect example is from 0:58 to 1:01. The band actually 'accelerates' to a new tempo at 1:01. It's subtle, but with such a small 'hit window' to play each red note, even a few milliseconds is enough to break your streak. If this were recorded to a metronome, I think I would have FCed this a while ago.

It's no secret that these difficult songs require more than just a perfect run for a full combo. It also takes some serious head-scratching...and lots of luck.
I've had this song perfected for a week now...and yet it took at least 1-2 dozen "perfect" runs to actually succeed with the FC. Very frustrating of course, but you can ask any of the top drummers and they'll agree... It's really about combining skill with luck to get FCs on songs that contain fast notes. These drum pads just can't handle fast 16th notes without precise adjustments to the piezo sensors underneath.
lol, I bet the drummer who recorded the real drum track for this song couldn't even get a full combo on his own drum part. Because by the 3rd or 4th attempt...he would stand up and kick the drum kit into the TV.

Did this live during one of my streams: was a request from the viewers, i'd been doing other songs with one stick, and I tried this one out and got an insanely high combo.
If you're wondering how I hit the double notes, the hit-window in the game is pretty large: so large that as long as you hit one note slightly early and the other almost immediately after, the game will count both notes hit.

Yes, it's not a gold star. Personally, I think I could raise this score a bit, get around 190-195K but I don't think i'll be able to gold it without a LOT more practice.
On this run there were quite a few parts where I did BETTER than usual, but also quite a few parts where I did WORSE than usual (i.e. the miss right at the beginning, usually never miss that, the pad miss at the end).
Still, this is good for a 5th place score (4th place is only 850 points above me: had I not gotten that blatant pad screwup, I would have gotten 4th easy haha)
The main difficulty to this song is getting everything in one run: and yeah, my fills are terrible because i'm REALLY trying to concentrate on the song.
Also, you might notice that my pedal has a metal covering: i'm using the "Mega Pedal" metal plate from www.megapedal.com : it adds weight to the pedal which makes it easier to use, and it hugely increases the stability of the stock RB pedal.

And yes, I play drums in real life, been playing them on and off for 4+ years.

This is to show my progress so far. I was the first to get Gold Stars on this song last week, but this is the 3rd or 4th GS run I've made so far. It's a little ironic that I can't stand thrash metal, haha.
At 0:59, you'll notice I immediately broke my combo. The bass notes are just completely out of sync with the 16th notes I'm playing on the red pad. As you can see from the 3 rolls near the end (starting at 2:44)...I had no trouble with those. This isn't just coincidental...I've consistently seen the same outcome over the past week.
This was recorded live while I was on Ustream, just like my last video of Timmy. :)
